I didn’t expect that in Godot you can program games so freely.-.

i like the game and concept. would love to play more but my computer is trash and this gives it a heart attack.

What did you code this in, its crazy!

Im sure its made with godot, you can see it for a brief second upon opening the game

Fun game, but once the other window appears frame rate massively drops and makes bullets unable to hit enemies or hit the window border.

it works on linux thx :)

never knew a game could run like this, like im fighting a war on my desktop. well done!

3591 coins collected, 2180 seconds, 46927 bullets fired, 790 enemies killed, and 87 bosses.

a rly good game

That`s a cool time killer i never meet before

Is getting stuck to the side a feature or a bug? Is it a black hole or weird wall physics?

mb u just click somewhere outside the game window and the key "stuck" and u move forever

Sorta it's not when I click outside the window but when the window pushes me when I'm touching the wall. Then yea one key moves forever until I click and unclick it.

I really like this game, however for some reason this game freezes up when I kill the first boss.

modding support for this game would go CRAZY

if you just hold the button then you can drag your mouse anywhere and it'll still shoot

Wow, this is amazing, I’ve never seen a game like this before. Such a clever idea and you’ve executed it really well.

please keep updating this game or make a sequel, this is too good of an idea not to

I love this. I have a feeling I'll be keeping it on my hard drive for a long long time :)

GOOD!

Cool idea!!!

I had so much fun and an interesting experience!

honestly I could go on forever but it did get a bit tedious and just died on purpose

I guess it does have some limitation because it was made in 72 hours and I really wish for more contents!

for those who need some tips:

bosses dies after 3 teleport and get stronger after time so keep track of the teleport and kill as soon as possible

after killing first boss, pick drain and put it on the second boss, it makes killing the second boss easy

screen size management is key, so make sure to shoot each side repeatedly because they have some delay before collapsing on the player

Very funny game.

32 or 64 bits?

This is so great

OpenGL renderer seems to be superior for this odd type of game to the DirectX12/Vulkan renderer.

Good

What a simple but impressive game! The idea behind that is amazing! GJ

Woahh really cool!

DUDE THIS IS SO FUNN

One again, a very cute and fun game, with simple but powerfull graphics! Nice work for a 72h made game!

It's a very interesting game, I really liked it. I have to say about the error, it is better to type this into CMD, just copy the installation address or you can drag and drop the software itself into CMD.

C:\Users\mohammadi\Downloads\ld54-7.exe --rendering-driver opengl3

I just can't play the game. After launching the game, the window just closes after like 1 second with no error message.

Thanks. I've created .bat to open the game

Very long ago I played another game that played around with the windows, but this definitely is different! Really cool!

Holy crap, how did you... how does this even... okay, this is one of the most impressive things I've ever seen on a computer. Not just games, not just apps, THINGS. This is astounding. This makes me want to go back over the history of everything else I've ever rated 5 stars on Itch and scale it back, because this just raised the bar into outer space. I love being able to drag the drain window over the bosses; I love the twin-stick controls (I was setting up JoyToKey to fill in for the arrow keys only to discover I didn't need to); I love how you can adjust the game's difficulty by changing your desktop resolution! My personal best (I can't seem to get a screencap attached right now for some reason): 991 coins, 635 seconds, 2678 bullets, 256(!) enemies, 4 bosses. If I may suggest some quality-of-life updates: some sort of indicator noting you can afford a new shop item; not locking aiming to a controller once one is used for movement (I'd really like to be able to use the analog stick in one hand and the mouse in the other, so I can still have access to dragging windows without changing the device one of my hands is using back and forth); this might not be possible to fix, but a boss first spawning in causes the player to stop firing, needing me to release and press the button again before something kills me, and that's awkward and feels unfair and ideally would be remedied if possible. I hope this goes viral and prompts a full experience I'd gladly pay for and becomes, say, the new Vampire-Survivors-level hotness.

Easy to play and install, good to kill time while doing other stuff haha

oh my god please make the blue circles one shot they are so annoyin

This is a wonderful concept, and I'd love to play it more. However, I'm running into an issue I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing. I'm using Windows 11 and initially works well, but after a short period of play I just start moving without input into one of the sides of the window. So I cannot avoid enemies spawning from that side and I lose pretty quickly. Anyone also having this problem? Thanks!

This is a result of losing focus while an input is held. To un-stick the input you need to press and release the key. You can prevent this altogether by enabling “pause on losing focus” in the settings (Escape)

How do you even programa this :0

(1 edit)

Is there a way to recover health

nevermind, found it, just random chance in the shop

This is incredibly fun, and such a neat concept!

WOW this is such a cool take on the theme and also just really fun to play! i love the pressure of the window shrinking in on you.
