Is there a way to edit the controls in a file somewhere? I would really like to try this, but my keyboard layout is way different and my hands are too small to use arrow keys and then also use shift, enter and tab while controlling the mouse.
KDE Neon with Plasma 6 is the best Windows. lol I know, linux is "too hard" for people. Literally even though android, chromeos, the nintendo switch and the steamdeck are linux.
Bugged the game after I died around 20 or so mins but the "you died end" window didn't pop up and the enemies kept spawning and attacking me. Also kept gaining the currency.
Great game though, just wanted to report something I've discovered. Could this be due to the version of the game? I downloaded the new version, not the old ludum dare version.
im not sure but maybe it has something to do with the OS im on? this screenshot is from linux but on windows 10 it also has the same issue. maybe i could try going to windows 11
absolutely love this game! One thing I'd like to see changed is a tiny bit more invincibility after getting hit. Too many times I lost my last 3 HP so quickly that I couldn't react fast enough to heal.
ok, the invincibility is fine once you get a few more upgrades. Personal best right now is 1:02 with 44 bosses killed. In the "late game" you have so many wall punch upgrades that you can't keep the window at a smaller size. Because of that I can't reach the window of the smiley boss and it hides behind the main window for minutes at a time. I killed 1-2 other bosses DURING one smiley
nah bro this game is absolute fire, work on it harder i wanna see it rise(also some sugestions, shoot type, more abilities, and more bosses, also u should add more soundtracks like for different bosses different soundtrack)
me too bro i REALLY wanna see some more added to the game with the steam releace. having the same 4 bosses over and over, could be spiced up some more with more bosses
I stopped at this point because the shop and options menu had a hard time opening and the game itself was lagging quite a bit. My final time was about 55 minutes.
Edit: For some reason i can't post any videos, but i got to having held 1 million points on hand and the entire screen was just purple (except where i was standing ofc.
i keep accidentally quitting the game ive done it 3 times and ive had the game for less than an hour because im spamming the click can you please add a "are you sure you want to quit" screen
That was fun. I feel fatigued, like I went through one hell of a session, for I lasted for way longer than my computer wanted me to. The Green multiplying enemies along with the gradual multi-shot upgrades slowly turned into a 5 FPS mess. I was sad there was no win condition, so I thought if I could crash the game, I would win the game. Regardless, this beast would not want to crash, and I fear it would've destroyed my CPU if I left it on any longer, but I had fun regardless til the end. My screen was filled with nothing but Pink. I can't wait for the Steam release, as that seems to have more than those green enemies that bog the game down. With my outcome of the run, I sure hoped gameplay balance and rewards were more present, I am no game dev, and I don't think the game dev should deal with my garbage ideas, but a rougelike mode and/or some gratifying win condition would be nice.

You are stupid the download was at the front of you're eyes (you can also download the version 2.0 on here)
use the opengl version (the .bat file)

Super good game, so innovative and very interesting. Already it's a classic for me.
Sadly I had to quit after 1:05:00 because the FPS was too low to play, but still a good game.

you can make smiley the highest window in the setting

Tips:
1. Wealth and multi shot are one of the best upgrades at the beginning.
2. You can right-click on upgrade to block from restocking
3. At the beginning, it is best to spend stars on manifest (multishot upgrade)
4. Only then "bellow" to the 3rd level
5. And then "peer" to level 3 (this makes you practically immortal, you no longer need to use Heal)

This is killing my pc and i love it
When I run it it's laggy as hell, but when I play the opengl version it runs smoothly but crashes after few seconds. Any ideas what to do?
