This game would have lasted forever so I had to end it before I died in real life, I should have went for 10m coins though

im not even gonna question why you made a planet made out of enemies

(+1)

At a certain point the amount of things on the screen starts to lag my game, maybe make it so that large amounts of particles combine or something like that? It made it so that I could not access the shop or the perks screen, the shop and perk screen would refuse to show any buttons.

Also, I was playing on another run with both monitors and at some point once it got onto my second monitor and moved towards the right of the screen. It then moved off the screen and made it so I literally could not see the window. I don't know if this is a monitor problem or something with the game.

More shop upgrades would be great.

The only perk I seem to be getting any real use out of is Billow, either I don't understand how to get the best use out of the other 2 or they just feel worse to use than Billow. More perks would be nice too.

The Smiley boss tends to get obscured behind the main window often, it makes this boss much more frustrating and tedious to fight.

Overall I think this game has great potential and just needs a bit of polish and optimization. I like how challenging it is and the boss fights are very cool.  Music goes hard too.

theres this really cool thing called "moving the support windows" especially for drain, putting that thing on a boss (like spiker) works some incredible magic.

couldnt say the same about smiley or slimer tho

and peer definitely works better at lvl 3 for extra healing n' stuff

also its bellow not billow

(1 edit)

as someone whos beaten 2.0, and im gonna try to beat 1.0, i'd like a feature to disable the "thing" when you beat the game, as its kinda annoying

also modding community anyone?

because that sounds pretty cool

i want a mod where theres a sun boss

I’m not sure what you’re referring to, but make sure to check the options to make sure what you’re asking for isn’t already implemented

i did check the options, there is a way to disable the thing i was asking about

also idk why but when i get to the final boss sometimes the game just decides to kill itself

where options

Second 2.0 run, the other 2 abilities feel underpowered compared to the pusher one. I found myself just stacking multishot after getting pusher lvl 3. Could've gone for longer, but i decided to stop using healing cuz i got bored

i wanted you to update it, and you really did it, cool shit man, also please add difficulty settings

h

Honestly I wish there was some sort of main menu for the game, at least a basic title screen with an instructions tab and some options for controls (maybe have options like WASD movement + Arrows to shoot?), maybe also some kind of difficulty select (I was thinking Simple, Classic, and Hardcore modes, each with different starting health, shop prices, and enemy spawn rates)

Also maybe have a "simulated" window movement option like in Rhythm Doctor (for accessibility purposes I think? idk for sure but it's a neat option to have)

It would also be cool if there was some type of way to upgrade the default window size so that it's not always so cramped when you're zooming across the screen with next to no fire rate lmao

Anyways this game is fun :>

wow

Gotta be the Farthest I ever got in this game.

uh ok

I'm REALLY Liking where the game has gone! One thing that never made sense to me was the 'secondary function' of Peer. There is a spot on the screen that it looks to, and snaps to when close enough. What is the purpose of that?

(+1)

I found out what it does, but I'll say only this: Peer isn't the only other perk that snaps somewhere on the screen.

i only have one question, have you beaten the game?

wait you can beat this game

(+2)

Could I recommend some kind of auto-shoot option that doesn't require you to hold down the left-click to shoot? After playing this game for long periods of time, stress builds up in my right hand.

use an autoclicker

(+1)

Love the sound design, the concept, the simplistic shapes and to differentiate between each enemy. The upgrades are a nice feature I would suggest a "shop" button to show what to press in order to get an upgrade since it doesn't seem as intuitive. That and a quick "HELP" on the main menu that goes through the buttons, the standard enemies, and how to get upgrades.

(+1)

It does say "press Space to open the shop" if gem's are not spent for quite some time and you have lots.

(+3)

i feel like it's way too difficult now. when you remove your focus from the regular enemies for 10 seconds, there's like 20 of them, and it's hard to split your focus between the boss and the enemies. i recommend toning down the amount of enemies that spawn, at least during boss fights

(+1)

Incredible concept executed perfectly.

Please keep adding to it.

(+2)

i wanted to play it more but my mental and schedule said no

pretty fun game 10/10

you can collect less stars then bosses killed??

(+1)

great game! love it!

one problem, at least on my end, when you get really far, the game might be reaching some window cap, because the bosses sometimes don't apear outside of the sight, drain, and main vision area, also the shop doesn't always open, and you can't see smileys head. which is my main, and only problem

then just "beat" the game

(1 edit) (+1)

great game, great concept/utilization of the windows, quite laggy especially the second boss, also if combined with the slime boss, but that's my PC having skill issue whatevers, hope it rises up in visibility.

(+1)

Beautiful game and an incredible concept. I have a few criticisms, but overall I found this game to be an absolute gem. I would talk more about why you should play this game, but I won't, because I think you should just go play it for yourself and see how great this game is...And also because I'm better at explaining negative feedback than I am with positive feedback. Just know that behind all the upcoming critiques, I'm actually obsessing over this game.

Now, onto the critiques...
I really wish this game had something of an ending. I love the simple endless gameplay, but after an hour-long run that shows no signs of stopping, it'd be nice to finish off by doing something like opening a third tab in the shop with one item that's worth like one million points that gives you a "the end" screen. The same stats might appear for the game over screen, but it'd give a satisfying cap on everything.

The smiley is definitely my favorite boss in the game, but I wish there was just some small change that would make revealing the boss easier when it's in a bad spot. The easiest way I found to reveal it is to find its exact tab and click on that to pull it to the top, but that's less of an option early on. I'd like it if after 20 seconds or so, the smiley would flash red and/or white all the way up onto the top layers to signal that it's about to move again, so that you don't have to wrestle with the screen any longer to reveal it from that awkward position.

Other than that, I just love this game and I wish it was so massive that it'd be unlikely to see a boss more than three times over like an hour of gameplay. I feel like if I went back in for another long run like the one I just had, I'd have pretty much the same experience, and although what I'm asking for is probably not a realistic expectation, I still felt the need to ask.

(+1)

thank you!
there may be some smiley changes in the near future.
there is an ending to the game :)

very cool game, really hope that there is more update in the futur and make the game even better

(-3)

ludum dare version was fine as hell but the update stutters a LOT even running the opengl version. specially with bosses like the snake and the slime, and when bellowing, the game stutters like hell. btw whats up with the transparent/purple blots that show up sometimes when shooting the walls/bellowing? i think the stutter might be because of them? either way is there a way to turn them off? cuz they ugly af

i can't even get the ludum dare version to not stutter
i just got the game so maybe im missing somethin

End game is way too easy now.

The price of shop items should go up faster, at the moment it doesn't go up fast enough to keep up with the rate of money earned.

Bosses should also be refreshed faster to speed up the end of the game.

(+3)

Hey, this is an amazing game! The only thing I wish is there was a borderless windowed option — I just "lost" in a hilarious and tragic way where I got really late game and was fighting two smileys at once and was nigh unkillable, but I accidentally clicked X on my game window while the smileys were both jumping around. after nearly 40 minutes of gameplay, it took me a second to process what happened.

Or perhaps this is a intended possibility? Nonetheless, a tragic end to my run.

i did this once too-- rest in peaces in solidarity

(+1)

Having a great time with this so far. I appreciate that it's not just a game displayed in moving windows, but the windows also create unique gameplay.

I've only got to the first boss and this game is very difficult but I love it.

I'd love to know how people feel about the perks, it seems like Bellow is the most useful of the three perks by FAR. At least it's the one I'm getting first. I see the utility of Drain if it helps me kill things, I guess. And the Sight one sure is sittin' there.

help this is killing my computerrrrrrrrrrrr

So... others are saying that they beat the game and stuff like that, am I missing something? I got the secret with the eye, drain, and below but that was pretty much it. I beat all all the bosses I could fight, smiley, slimer, spiker, and wrym. Though nothing else would happen, this is the furthest I got with the game.

(1 edit) (+1)

try holding it down until it starts blinking, then hit a wall

I've done that, all it does is make the wall go back in a constant rate rather than it being hit back only to try to come back to the character.

(+3)

This game is honestly amazing, I feel like I'm honestly cheating life by downloading this for free. The update 2 made it even more enjoyable, before it got boring decently fast, but now I feel tense all the way, specially with the creative bosses.

Hope it releases on steam as a complete paid experience one day :)

finally beat this game

very nice!

(+2)

wait how do you win? I played for like 1 and a half hours cos i thought it was endless

you gotta get every ability,  put them in their correct place, then use bellow in the center of the eye

What does seek do? Cause ik it lets you see into other boxes but you can put it in an outline but after that nothing happens? It juat seems to be a bad drain

(+5)

seek at lvl 2 generates healing orbs every so often, and also, if you put drain in a specific spot along with seek and if you activate a certain ability, something happens

How are you supposed to kill the final boss? The game just crashes and I can't tell if there is a time limit or if I die or something. Also I can't really tell if my balls are hitting him or not

(+1)

You need to shoot at the window so it hits the boss

Very fun game! Although, it can be somewhat easy to cheese the smiley face boss by pausing and quickly clicking the x while unpausing.

(+1)

the game works really well with WINE!

the only issue being that clicks aren't detected outside the focused window (i use i3wm with a window rule to set all the game's windows as floating), is it fixable?

(+2)

don't know if this helps you but you can hold to fire

(1 edit)

Despite the game being made for windows, it actually runs very well on Linux with Wine, which is very surprising for a game like this one

(1 edit) (+3)

i blatantly ignored the rules and i paid the price. 10/10

(+3)

on it boss

(+1)

on it boss

This game is great but it could use some more new weapons and upgrades, but it is very good

(2 edits)

hey guys ive been here for over an hour

what should i do now, im basically invincible and the game is running at seconds per frame

(Edit 1) The Shop UI has ascended to another plane of existence, i now how to click all the buttons and see if my money decreases, also health is the most expensive upgrade (last i saw it was 1,000,000+)

(Edit 2) I Got bored, is this a world record?

(1 edit)

Its a little fun

(+1)

Very fun and well done. The game is already great on its own, so the little secret makes this game feel very special. Great job! :)

Nice Game, keep it up 👍🏻

Played some time and no Bugs or crashes so far. Its simple but cool and the background music is nice too.

Good game!
I actually made one using a similar technique in Godot 4. A Tamagotchi-style game with cats :)

(-3)

I wish it worked for Linux

(-11)

it would if the developer simply pressed the “export for linux” button.

(+9)

This runs on a heavily modified version of godot, which requires building the engine from source on native hardware. I can look into it, but it was lower priority than finishing it at all. Regardless, it runs perfectly well on WINE, from many people’s reports

Kid Named Running The Game Using Wine/Bottles/Lutris :

Yeah, I know that works but wine does not run well on my computer

skill issue
